由今年六月一日起, 凡用木料作包装之货品由香港寄往韩国时, 均需要附有 有效之香港灭虫证, 以作出入口海关检查之用. 敬希合作留意。 KOREA With effect from 1st June 2005, The Korean National Plant Quarantine Service (NPQS) will enforce new regulations on the use of Wood Packaging Material (WPM) involved in international trade. The new regulations require that all import consignments using wood packaging material (WPM) must undergo approved treatment prior to departure from export countries. As specified in the new regulations. WPM must undergo heat treatment or Methyl Bromide (MB) fumigation under specified conditions. WPM subjected to these measures should display an approved marking to indicate the treatment performed. This marking should be placed at least on two opposites on the WPM. The new regulations apply to the following WPM: pallets, dunnage, crating, packing blocks, drums, cases, load boards, pallet collars and skids. Failure to comply with the requirements may result in disposal, treatment or shipment being returned to the origin. It is suggested that WPM be replaced with alternative packaging material exempted from the regulation or otherwise the WPM should comply with the new regulation.
